You can adjust ANC and switch on an "aware" setting which allows ambient sound to be heard. However, you cannot disable the audio.

The headsets are still an excellent option for anyone looking for a pair of high-end headphones to wear in the train or plane, or at home while working. They have a long-lasting battery, excellent noise cancellation, and clear audio. They also have multipoint Bluetooth which allows them to be linked with two devices simultaneously and switch between them with the press of the button. They also have an app that's not as customizable as other competitors however, it does offer numerous useful features.

The QC45s come with a highly efficient active noise cancellation feature. It can be a little too loud at times. The passive EQ modes are however more balanced and let you be more in control of the sound of your music. The battery can last up to 20 hours for the majority of people. They do include the USB cable to connect to your phone for charging but it's not as convenient as using Bluetooth, but it's a useful feature to have and means you can play your music back after recharging. They are also compatible with audio devices that have 2.5mm ports, so you can travel with them.

The Monoprice BT600ANC Bluetooth noise cancelling over-ear headphones have all the features that you would want in a pair for less than half the cost.
