The memory foam earcups fit snugly, but not too tightly on the cranium. The new design and shape took a long time to perfect, providing an easy clamping force that isn't too hard even on my own rotund cranium.

They are 2 ounces lighter (or 307g) and a little thinner than the Sony WH1000XM5. They're light enough to carry in your bag or backpack without much discomfort, and they'll stay comfortably in place during long listens. A sturdy hinge on the back of the headband lets you to fold them for easy transportation in an enclosed case.

They're powered by Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX Adaptive support which is ideal for high-resolution audio as well as precise video sync. The 3.5mm cord connects to the USB-C port located on the right earcup. The status indicator on the headphone is a nice feature. It flashes green to signal rapid charging and solid blue to indicate Bluetooth pairing.

The B&W app offers the same controls as the hardware onboard buttons such as bass and treble adjustments as well as action button assignment wear detection, a cycle through ANC modes, and more. Anker Soundcore Life q20

The Anker Soundcore Q20 is a decent set of headphones for anyone looking to kill time or just want an affordable set of headphones that block out noise. They come with a basic pouch that will give them some protection when you toss them in a bag and their battery can last for many long-haul flights. The ANC works well to block out noisy passengers and engine rumbles, however their audio profile is a bit warmer and bass-heavy.

The Life Q20's controls can be easy to use and are well-marked. On the left earcup, you'll see buttons for pairing and powering up the headphones as well as turning on or off the active noise cancellation. On the right earcup you'll find media playback controls which include a multi-function button which lets you turn on the voice assistant of your phone and turn on the Anker's BassUp feature (more on this later). You can also use the built-in microphone to make hands-free calls with your phone.
